ACCLAIMED SINGER/SONGWRITER ADAM HOOD
FINDS A “DIFFERENT GROOVE” WITH HIS SECOND SINGLE
- Little Dog Records Releases Title Track
From Hood’s Critically Recognized Album on May 5th –
Popular singer/songwriter ADAM HOOD will be releasing his second single entitled “Different Groove” on MAY 5th.
“Different Groove” is the title track from Hood’s debut Little Dog Records album. The album, which was produced by Grammy Award-winning producer/guitarist Pete Anderson (Dwight Yoakam, Sara Evans, Roy Orbison, Buck Owens, Flaco Jimenez), has garnered tremendous critical reviews, landing on Ken Barnes’ USA TODAY year-end “Best Of” list.
The first single from the album, “22 Days Too Long,” became a hit on the Texas Music Chart where it remained for five months The corresponding video gained popularity on GAC-TV where it continues to receive national airplay. Adam was also featured in a mini-documentary performing songs and talking about his influences which was offered on national satellite channels via ConcertTV’s on-demand service.
Adam is continuing to enjoy growing success since the release of DIFFERENT GROOVE. Highly respected journalist Mario Tarradell from the “Dallas Morning News” wrote, “If you merged early Bob Dylan with dashes of the Band and Al Green, you’d get the flavor of Adam Hood’s front porch meets juke joint music.” Adam has been seen at many popular concerts and festivals including the prestigious Austin City Limits Festival and Music Fest in Colorado. He has been featured on the popular ME Television out of Austin and was seen as part of a retail campaign by hip Red Dirt Music-inspired clothing line Southern Thread. Additionally, Adam appeared in an episode of “We’re An American Band” on the Documentary Channel.
Adam has picked up a number of high profile fans along the way including country stars Sunny Sweeney and Miranda Lambert, who has invited him to perform as her opening act at a number of her concerts – where she has consistently come out on stage to personally introduce him.
Both Adam and Pete Anderson are available for interviews in support of the record and tour. We look forward to hearing from you and thank you in advance for your support.
